Shell Cordovan is a dense, non-porous membrane — it does not stretch much or balloon out. What it does is soften and conform. Over the first few weeks of carry, the pockets will relax to the exact profile of your card stack and your preferred carry style, becoming noticeably easier to load while still holding cards securely.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDo the pockets permanently stretch?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eYes. Beyond 8, you risk stressing the hand-stitched seams. Receipts, folded paper, and oversized cards are the usual suspects; keep those out of the card slots.
