Men's Full Grain Leather Wallets

Handmade full grain leather wallets, cut and hand saddle-stitched one at a time in my Kansas shop. Full grain is the strongest, most honest cut of cowhide — the outer layer kept intact rather than sanded and coated — so it darkens, softens, and builds a patina that's unique to the person carrying it.

The leathers I use

  • Badalassi Carlo Pueblo — a Tuscan vegetable-tanned leather with a rugged, slightly textured surface that darkens quickly with carry
  • Walpier Buttero — a dense, smooth Italian leather with a refined finish
  • La Bretagna Vacchetta — a classic veg-tanned leather used for the Bread & Wine editions

Styles

Bifolds like The Dillon, The Adams, and The Fulton carry six cards plus cash. The Morgan and The Randall are slim card wallets, The Hosea is a vertical bifold, and The Paulie is a compact minimalist wallet that still holds 12+ cards.

Every piece is hand-stitched, with edges sanded and burnished by hand. Full grain is also the more accessible way into handmade leather — if you're weighing it against shell cordovan, I broke down the differences in full grain vs. shell cordovan, and the leather care guide covers keeping it in shape for years.
